Per Erling Tilset Larsen
My name is Per Erling and I'm the subject manager at EVO (Enhet for Voksenopplæring) for second chance education through the "New Chance"-project, involving about 60 participants and 7 instructors/teachers. I'm also responsible for the social science courses in our organisation and the coordinator for international cooperations.
The adult education in Trondheim was reorganised in 2009 and then Unit for Adult Education was born. Before this I was working as a deputy head at Granskogen skole, that was a kind of educational centre focusing on the combination of practice and theory for asylants, immigrants, refugees and disadvantage youths. The practical site is now almost gone, so most of our education today is theoretical. EVO has about 1400 students and about 160 teachers related to language training courses for immigrants, refugees and people with special needs, like disadvantaged people. The organisation is located at 6 different places/houses in Trondheim.
I think the theme and focus for this project look very exciting and interesting and I hope I can learn and exchange experience from you.
Heike is one day younger than me, so my three daugthers have also left their nest and now it's just me and my wife at home. We have a nice place, a cabin, close to the Trondheimsfjord and that's become my greatest hobby for the last three years.
I'm really looking forward to meet you all !!
